‘If contact between people is based on trust and absolute integrity, it cannot fail to benefit both sides.’ Julius Baer – Swiss Banker

Environmental awareness :

Mallorca is an island with very few natural resources. What the island does have has to be protected and preserved. Many of the materials used in building are either imported, at additional financial and ecological cost, or manufactured, which is again ecologically costly through the processing involved. Where possible, we aim to utilise local materials that have limited manufacturing and processing, financial and environmental costs.

‘Cradle to grave’ approach :

Buildings should aim to cause the minimum possible harm to the environment and users – throughout their design, construction, use, upkeep and eventual end of life recycling.

Authenticity :

We believe in authenticity throughout our dealings with stakeholders and shareholders alike.

Key environmental & ecological aspects of our properties :
  • Cost efficiency (a pre-requisite for sustainability)
  • Conservation of energy and resources
  • Ecological foundations and minimal site intervention
  • Reduction of infrastructure (roads, pipes and lighting)
  • Elimination / reduction of material and resource wastage
  • Elimination / reduction of toxic materials and processes
  • Use of renewable / biological materials and energy
  • Use of safe, recycled materials and products
  • Vapour-diffusive – air and wind tight construction
  • Super insulation and ecological thermal energy storage
  • Use of natural lighting (for health and energy saving)
  • Long life – low maintenance, robust design
  • Adaptable, inclusive (access for all) design
  • Green surroundings – design with nature and climate
